What is a baraat?Baraat (noun): (in India and Pakistan) a celebratory wedding procession that escorts the groom, who is traditionally on horseback, to the site of the wedding. Vibhor's baraat will set off from Charcroft at 1330, ahead of the marriage ceremony beginning at 1430. Despite everyone's kind offers of finding a white horse / vintage car / cow / elephant from Bristol zoo, Vibhor will be dancing, alongside his baraatis, his way to the church.

What is a cèilidh?Cèilidh (noun): (pronunciation: KAY-lee) A traditional Scottish or Irish gathering, today usually referring to the traditional form of dancing. Cèilidhs are typically quite energetic, so we recommend that you wear (or bring) flats to dance in, and require enthusiasm over skill. We will have a caller - one of the band members who will explain the steps and how to do the dance - so don't worry if you are a cèilidh novice!
